Every famous celebrity is writing an autobiography, every chef is publishing a <a href=\"https:\/\/store.impressonline.co.za\/productOrder\/order\/56\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\"><strong>cook book<\/strong><\/a><strong> <\/strong>and even young children are publishing books about how to deal with bullying etc. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There is something very fulfilling about writing and publishing your very first book, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.impressonline.co.za\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">Impress Printers<\/a> has had the pleasure of helping realise that dream for many individuals and we can also help you. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The\nprinting part is towards the end of the process, the hard work happens at the beginning.\nHere are some key things to consider before you start writing your own book;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Whether you\u2019re writing a <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/store.impressonline.co.za\/productOrder\/order\/56\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>cook book<\/strong><\/a>, autobiography or self-help book, it is important to take note of the following;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Selecting\na relevant topic to write about<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The\nstoryline is central to writing a book. It is what will determine the content\nand the success of the book. Think about your purpose for writing the book. Are\nyou writing to entertain, educate, inspire people?&nbsp; How do you want your audience to feel after\nthey have read your story? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Decide\non the length of your book.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Below are\nsome classifications of books depending on the number of words<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>10,000 words = a pamphlet or business white paper. <\/li><li>20,000 words = eBook or manifesto. <\/li><li>40,000\u201360,000 words = standard nonfiction book \/ novella. <\/li><li>60,000\u201380,000 words = long nonfiction book \/ standard-length novel. <\/li><li>80,000\u2013100,000 words = very long nonfiction book \/ long novel. <\/li><li>100,000+ words = epic-length novel \/ academic book \/ biography. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Find a\nplace that is conducive to writing<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">People are\ninspired by different things. Find an environment that inspires your\nwriting.&nbsp; It may be your desk, a quiet\ncoffee shop or even the beach. The right mindset is imperative to not only\ngetting your creative juices flowing, but for sustaining you until the process\nis complete.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Be\nintentional and disciplined<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is\nimportant that you are clearly connected to your WHY \u2013 the reason why you began\nthis process will carry you through times when you want to quit. And trust me,\nthere will be times when you will want to quit. It is also important that you\nset yourself daily or weekly targets of how many words you will write. Make it\nrewarding and incentivize yourself for reaching certain milestones. It might\nalso be a great idea to find a mentor who can motivate you during those days\nwhen you are tempted to quit. Your mentor can also play a role of checking your\nwork as you progress.
